Each business within Okanagan Wellness & Counselling operates independently and all sessions are by appointment only with each specific practitioner.
History of the Space:
Built in 1870—before the courthouse—this home is a designated heritage landmark in the community. It features secret rooms and all the unique charm you’d expect from a classic heritage property.

Please enter through the front door directly off 26th Street.
Parking:
Parking is available in the lot behind the building, accessible via the driveway off 26th Street (exit onto 30th Street for smaller vehicles).
There is also free street parking right out front on 26th Street, as well as on nearby streets—no meters anywhere!

Stephanie Curtis BSW, RSW Owner
Born and raised in Vernon, BC, Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work with a specialization in Child Welfare and Attachment from Thompson Rivers University and obtained registration through the BC College of Social Workers. Since graduating, Stephanie has been supporting individuals and families in the Vernon area for over 10 years.
The essence of Stephanie’s work is to facilitate self-growth by helping clients identify the core challenges and setbacks in their lives, so they can overcome them with confidence. With a focus on creating personalized plans and offering practical tools, Stephanie guides clients forward to achieve their desired goals.

Lindsey Valair RPC Associate Counsellor
From her beginnings in healthcare to advocating for employee care as a public servant, Lindsey has always been drawn to the helping profession. She pursued a diploma in psychology, specializing in professional counselling, driven by a deep desire to support mental health within the community.
Lindsey believes that children, youth, and adults all have the ability to navigate life’s stressors and develop the skills to manage its challenges. As a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, and co-worker, she brings to her practice a unique blend of lived mental health and life experience, formal education, and a holistic approach. Guided by the philosophy that we are all capable humans moving through growth experiences, Lindsey reminds her clients that they don’t have to go through them alone.

Emma Wheeler RPC-C Associate Counsellor
With over twenty years of experience supporting families through the profound transition of parenthood, Emma understands firsthand the complexities of balancing caregiving and personal well-being. This experience inspired her to complete a diploma in psychology and counselling.
Emma is passionate about providing families with a safe, supportive space to rediscover resilience, nurture self-love, and find balance for themselves and their loved ones. She recognizes that while starting and raising a family is a journey filled with immense joy, it can also bring challenges such as infertility, miscarriage, infant loss, postpartum mood disorders, relationship stresses, parenting struggles, and the difficulty of caring for everyone else while tending to oneself.
As a counsellor, Emma takes a nonjudgmental, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to creating personalized treatment plans and setting meaningful goals. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges, fostering resilience, and supporting them in becoming the best version of themselves despite any overwhelming experiences.

Denai Johnson RTC, CNP Counsellor and Nutritionist

Isabel Prystawik, RTC (she/her) Motionally Counselling and Facilitation
Isabel is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor who offers somatic, body-based counselling for people who may look “fine on the outside” but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of what they need internally. Her approach is warm, steady, and collaborative. She helps clients slow down, tune into what’s happening in their bodies, and make sense of their inner experience in a way that feels respectful and doable.
With more than 25 years of experience supporting people in their reconnection and growth, Isabel draws from a deep background in somatic movement, trauma-informed facilitation, and experiential learning. Her training includes extensive study in body-based awareness practices and professional counselling through the Orca Institute in Vancouver, BC.
She often works with individuals who carry a lot — caregivers, parents, helping professionals, and those who have spent years “holding it together” for others. In her sessions, clients can expect gentleness, curiosity, and space to reconnect with themselves.

Meet Myoka! Myoka is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been in practice since 2014. With over a decade of experience, she brings a deep understanding of the body and a passion for wellness. Myoka’s practice is grounded in both clinical expertise and compassionate care helping clients manage pain, reduce stress and improve their overall well-being She integrates deep therapeutic techniques with relaxation-focused massage, with each treatment tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual

Alisha Tacoma Registered Massage Therapist
Alisha Tacoma graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2002. After living and practicing massage in Vancouver for 18 years, she returned to Vernon in 2021 with her family and is enjoying life in the Okanagan.
Blending a variety of techniques, Alisha aims to provide clinically effective treatment in a calm and welcoming environment. Treatments may be deep and focused or more soothing and gentle, never painful. She prides herself on listening and working closely with her clients to develop strong therapeutic relationships.
Alisha is also a certified Pilates teacher and often integrates that into treatments and home care.
